Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information — and the choices you have.

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Luminant Labs (“LumiLabs,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the LumiLabs website and the ColorCraft and CryptidCraft services (the “Service”). We designed the Service to collect only what we need to create your coloring books and fulfill your orders.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account details — name and email address, handled through our authentication partner.
  • Creation inputs — photos, prompts, themes, and preferences you submit to generate pages.
  • Order & shipping details — recipient name, shipping address, and contact info needed to print and deliver books.
  • Communications — messages you send us through the contact page or email.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage & device data — such as approximate location, browser type, and interactions, used to operate and improve the Service and enforce usage limits (including anonymous free-generation limits tied to an IP address).
  • Cookies & similar technologies — used for sign-in sessions, security, and remembering preferences.

Payment information

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We receive confirmation and limited details (such as the last four digits and status) but do not store your full card number.

2. How We Use Information

  • To create your coloring pages and books and produce print-ready files;
  • To process orders, payments, subscriptions, and shipping;
  • To provide customer support and respond to your messages;
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Service and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • To send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates) and, where permitted, occasional service updates;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. AI Processing of Your Photos

To generate your artwork, your uploaded images and prompts are processed by AI image-generation providers acting on our behalf. We use these inputs to produce your results and to operate the Service. We do not sell your photos, and we do not use your uploaded photos to independently train third-party foundation models beyond what is necessary to deliver your generation.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run the Service, including with:

  • Service providers — authentication, payment processing, AI generation, cloud/file hosting, print-on-demand fulfillment, and email delivery;
  • Our print partner — the recipient name and shipping address required to print and deliver your order;
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the public;
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information while your account is active and retain order records as needed for legal, accounting, and support purposes. Uploaded photos and generated assets are retained as needed to provide the Service and fulfill and support your orders, and may be deleted or anonymized thereafter. You can request deletion as described below.

6. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information;
  • Request a copy of certain information you provided;
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time;
  • Manage cookies through your browser settings.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK or California), you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. To make a request, email daniels@luminant-labs.com. We may need to verify your identity first.

7. Children’s Privacy & COPPA Compliance

LumiLabs is designed to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our structure:

  • Accounts are for ages 13 and up (18+ to purchase). We ask every new user to confirm their age when onboarding.
  • If a user tells us they are under 13, we do not collect or retain their information — any data associated with the attempt is deleted, the account is signed out, and no analytics are recorded for it.
  • Children use LumiLabs through a parent’s account. A parent or guardian creates and owns the account; pages a child colors (including in the Ink-Zone) are stored in the parent’s library as the parent’s data. We never attach a child’s name, email, or photos to an account belonging to a child.
  • Photos of children uploaded by a parent are the parent’s content, processed solely to generate the parent’s requested artwork (see Section 3), and are never used for advertising.
  • We do not direct advertising at children and show no third-party ads inside the Service.

Parents: to review or delete anything associated with your account, or if you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us (Section 11) and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users

We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to locations with different data-protection rules than your own.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
