Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Luminant Labs when you use LumiLabs, ColorCraft, and CryptidCraft.

Welcome to LumiLabs, operated by Luminant Labs (“LumiLabs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our websites, applications, and services, including the ColorCraft and CryptidCraft creation tools, the online store, subscriptions, and print fulfillment (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who May Use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and at least 18 years old(or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to make a purchase. We ask new users to confirm their age when they first use the Service. Children under 13 may enjoy LumiLabs only through a parent or legal guardian’s account, under that adult’s supervision — the adult accepts these Terms and owns all account content. We do not create accounts for, or knowingly collect information from, children under 13 (see our Privacy Policy — Children’s Privacy & COPPA). You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Accounts

Account authentication is provided through our identity partner. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or abusively.

3. The Service: Custom Creations

LumiLabs lets you generate personalized coloring pages and books using artificial intelligence, optionally starting from photos or descriptions you provide, and to order physical printed books fulfilled by a third-party print-on-demand partner. Because each book is customized to your inputs, most orders are considered made-to-order (see Cancellations & Refunds below).

4. Credits, Generations & Free Allowances

  • Certain features consume “credits” or count against free generation allowances that reset on a periodic basis.
  • Purchased credits, allowances, and subscription benefits are licenses to use the Service and have no cash value.
  • AI generation is probabilistic; results vary and are not guaranteed to match any specific expectation. Credits consumed for a completed generation are generally non-refundable.
  • We may adjust free allowances, credit costs, and feature limits over time; material changes will be reflected on our pricing pages.

5. Your Content & the Rights You Grant

“Your Content” means any photos, text, prompts, or other materials you upload or submit. You retain ownership of Your Content. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have all necessary rights, consents, and permissions to submit Your Content and to allow us to process it;
  • For any image that identifies a real person, you have that person’s consent (or, for a minor, the consent of their parent or guardian);
  • Your Content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other right, and does not violate any law.

You grant Luminant Labs a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including generating your pages, producing print-ready files, and fulfilling your orders. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use your uploaded photos to train third-party AI models beyond what is necessary to deliver your results.

6. Ownership of Generated Artwork

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and full payment of any applicable fees, you may use the coloring pages and books you generate for your own personal, non-commercial use. Commercial or resale use requires our prior written permission. AI-generated outputs may not be eligible for copyright protection in all jurisdictions, and similar outputs may be generated for other users; we make no claim that any output is unique.

Likeness disclaimer: book titles and themes offered in our shop are original works of imagination, written without reference to real, identifiable individuals. Any resemblance between AI-generated characters or artwork and actual persons, living or deceased, is coincidental and unintended.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to create, upload, or order content that:

  • Depicts minors in any sexual or exploitative manner, or is otherwise child sexual abuse material;
  • Is pornographic, hateful, harassing, violent, defamatory, or promotes illegal activity;
  • Uses the likeness of a real person without consent, or impersonates others;
  • Infringes intellectual property or violates any third-party right;
  • Attempts to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or circumvent security or usage limits of the Service.

We may refuse, remove, or cancel any generation or order that we believe violates these rules, and we may report unlawful content to the appropriate authorities.

8. Orders, Pricing & Payment

Prices are shown at checkout and may include a one-time setup fee for certain custom products. Payment is processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card details. All prices are in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. We may correct pricing errors and cancel affected orders with a full refund of that order. Applicable taxes and shipping are calculated at checkout.

9. Printing & Shipping

Physical books are produced and shipped by an independent print-on-demand partner. Production and delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by the partner, carriers, or events outside our control. Risk of loss passes upon delivery to the carrier. Please review your book preview carefully before ordering — printed colors and trim may vary slightly from what you see on screen.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Because printed books are made to order, orders enter production after a short cancellation window shown at checkout. You may cancel for a full refund only before production begins.
  • Print-defect guarantee: we will replace or refund items that arrive damaged, defective, or materially different from your approved preview due to a production error. To make a claim, email daniels@luminant-labs.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photographs showing the defect. Photographic evidence is required — claims without it cannot be approved. Approved claims receive a reprint or refund at our option.
  • Refunds are not available for reasons of preference (artwork style, colors, or AI-generation results you approved in preview) — every book is custom-made to your approved preview.
  • Digital items, credits, and generations are non-refundable once delivered or consumed, except where required by law.
  • This section does not limit any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

11. Subscriptions & Recurring Billing

Subscription plans renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard or by emailing daniels@luminant-labs.com; cancellation stops the next renewal immediately. Charges already billed for the current period are not refunded — you keep your plan benefits until the period ends. We will notify you in advance of material price changes.

11a. Gift Vouchers

  • Purchased gift vouchers do not expire.
  • Promotional or complimentary voucher codes (issued without payment) are valid for 1 year from issue unless stated otherwise.
  • Vouchers are one-time codes redeemable for the stated generation tokens and printed-book fulfillment; they have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties for authentication, payments, AI generation, file hosting, print fulfillment, and email. Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party’s terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will meet your expectations.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luminant Labs and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the order or service giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim, or USD $50.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Luminant Labs from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
